- Make ready 1.5 cups Urad Dal
- Make ready 3 Cups Fine Rava

- Prepare 3 cups batter
- Get 2 tablespoons Sugar
- Make ready 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Prepare 1 teaspoon grated ginger

- Take 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- Make ready 3 cheese slices
- Make ready For Green Chutney:
- Prepare 3 green chillies
- Prepare 1 cup Coriander leaves
- Prepare 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Take to taste Salt
- Take 2 tablespoon water
- Prepare For Tadka:
- Get 1 tablespoon oil
- Take 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- Take 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- Take 10-15 curry leaves
- Make ready 6-7 green chillies
- Take 1 pinch Hing
Steps to make Cheesy Sandwich Dhokla:
- Wash and Soak urad dal for 2 hours.
- After two hours blend the dal add water in batches as required, once done keep aside.
- Seive Rava and add to blended dal add 1 cup water mix and leave for 6-8 hours for fermentation.
- After 8 hours your batter is ready, this can be used to make dosa, idli, appey or dhokla as I did.
- You can even use ready made dosa batter.
- Take all the ingredients under green chutney section blend and keep aside green chutney is ready.
- Now take 1.5 cup batter add salt, 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger, 1 teaspoon sugar and mix.
- Put this mixture in the greased plate, put it in steamer and steam for 10 minutes.
- Take a bowl take 2 tablespoons green chutney add 1 tablespoon dosa batter and keep aside.
- Once the 1st layer is steamed apply chutney generously on the dhokla layer, steam again for 5 minutes.
- For second layer add 1.5 cup batter add remaining grated ginger, salt, sugar and turmeric powder mix. This is yellow layer.
- Now once the chutney layer is steamed, cut cheese slices in small square pieces and arrange on green layer, now pour tomato ketchup and spread generously.
- On top of ketchup pour yellow batter spread nicely by rotating plate.
- Now steam for one last time for 10-12 minutes.
- Once done, keep aside to cool down a little.
- For tadka, take a tadka pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, hing, curry leaves, green chillies, some salt.
- Add tadka to dhokla, let it's rest for 3-4 minutes now cut in square pieces you can see layers with melted cheese.
- Serve with green chutney and sauce. Enjoy.
