The ingredients needed to make Khatta Dhokla:
- Prepare 2 cups handvo flour
- Take 1 cup sour curd
- Prepare 1 tbsp green chillies ginger paste
- Make ready 1 tsp oil
- Get to taste Salt
- Take 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Make ready 1/4 tsp asafoetida/hing
- Make ready 1 tsp soda bi carb or 1 tbspeno salt
- Take 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Prepare For tempering :
- Take 1 tbsp oil
- Get 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Get 1/2 tsp cummin seeds
- Take 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
- Make ready leaves Few curry
- Make ready Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves to garnish
Instructions to make Khatta Dhokla:
- In vessel add handva flour,sour curd and water to make to make semi thick batter. Keep covered for 6 hours for fermentation.
- At the time of making..add turmeric powder, asafoetida, salt, oil,soda bi carb/ eno salt and mix well. Pour in grease thali. Sprinkle red chilli powder.
- Place it on stand kept in water filled steamer vessel. Cover and steam for 20-25 minutes.
- In small tadka pan add/ heat oil. Add mustard seeds cummin seeds and sesame seeds as splutter add curry leaves and off the flame.
- Pour this tempering on steamed khatta dhokla. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Cut into squares pieces.
- Serve/ Relish Delicious Khatta Dhokla with green coriander chutney & hot tea/ coffee.
