Instant Millet Dosa prepared from dosa mix made at home from scratch. English - Sorghum , Hindi - Jowar, Tamil - Cholam, Telugu - Jonna, Kannada - Jola, Malayalam- Cholum. Sorghum are called Jowar in Hindi and vellai cholam in tamil. It is really healthy to include white millet in our diet as they are high in protein and fiber.
Steps to make Jowar (sorghum) dosa:
- Seive all the flours.
- Mix all the flours in large mixing bowl.
- Make a paste of ginger, garlic and green chillies and curry leaves
- Add previous paste in flour. Add salt, turmeric cream, Asafoetida,carrom seeds, curd and water as required. Make a batter like normal dosa or chilla batter. Keep it for rest 15-20 minutes minimum.
- Head griddle pour little oil on it and Spread batter on it. Pour oils from sides too.
- Shallow fry from both the sides by flipping it.
- Serve it hot with coconut chutany or tomato sauce or as per taste.
- Very healthy and tasty tummy filler for kids😊
