Eggnog is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It is enjoyed by millions daily. It’s easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. Eggnog is something that I’ve loved my entire life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.

The ingredients needed to make Eggnog:
  1. Get 1 cup Milk
  2. Take 1/2 cup Cream
  3. Get 2-3 tablespoons Caster Sugar
  4. Make ready 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  5. Get 2 Egg Yolks
  6. Prepare 1 tablespoons Caster Sugar
  7. Get 4 tablespoons Brandy and/or Rum *OR liquor of your choice
  8. Get 2 Egg Whites
  9. Prepare Grated Nutmeg *optional

Cook's Note: For cooked eggnog, follow In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the egg yolks until they lighten in color. Nothing says "holiday spirit" like a glass of eggnog! It tastes like Christmas, and when you combine just a few simple ingredients, you have a treat the whole family can enjoy. Egg Nog is the classic holiday drink, and it's easier than you think to mix together.

Instructions to make Eggnog:
  1. Combine Milk, Cream, Sugar and Vanilla in a saucepan, and heat over a medium heat. When it started boiling, remove from heat.
  2. Place Egg Yolks and 1 tablespoon Sugar in a a bowl, use a whisk to beat until sugar is well dissolved. Then slowly whisk in the milk mixture until smooth. *Note: The temperature of the milk mixture should be over 70C which cooks egg yolk.
  3. Add Brandy and/or Rum, and mix. Cool in the fridge.
  4. Beat Egg Whites in a bowl until soft peaks form. Gently fold into chilled eggnog and combine well. *Alternatively, you blend the Egg Whites and eggnog in a blender.
  5. Serve with grated Nutmeg if you like, but I like it without Nutmeg.
