- Heat the oil in a pan, and cook the pita bread for 2 minutes on each side in the pan until they puff up, as you see in the photo. - Serve it with kebab, or chicken, cheese and herbs. Soooooo tasty bread.
Usually softer, naan originates in India, by way of Persia. The name comes from the Persian word, non, for bread. Although the ingredients for this Homemade Pita Bread are different from my Homemade Naan, the execution is almost exactly the same. The only difference here is that you bake. Pita and naan breads are both favourites for dipping and for serving with Greek and Indian dishes, but both have a very different nutritional profile.
