- First wash and soak the toor dal and rice for half an hour.
- In the pressure cooker, add ghee. Once the ghee heated then add ginger garlic, green chilli paste. Saute it for 2 mins. Now add turmeric powder and salt and mix it well. Lastly add rice, toor dal and required water. Give it a good mix.
- Once the water start boiling,cover the cooker with the lid. On the slow flame, make 3 whistles. Let the cooker cool down.Meanwhile we will prepare buttermilk. In a jar add curd,cumin powder, salt, green coriander, water and mix it using the hand grinder.
- Serve this buttermilk with hot Khichdi.
