- Dry roast rava/suji for 5 minutes on a medium-low flame and set aside

- Add tomatoes and turmeric powder saute for 1 minute.
- Add the chopped vegetables along with rock salt and saute for another 1 minute.
- Add 1 litre hot water and cook for 5 minutes and let the vegetables get cooked.
- Keep the stove on low flame add rava/suji and continuously stir the kadai while adding raja/suji otherwise it will form lumps and spoil the khichdi.
- Keep the stove on low flame for 10 to 15 minutes till rava is cooked. Add a spoon of ghee after 15 minutes mix and serve hot with coconut chutney/peanut chutney.
